Amanda is an experienced corporate commercial lawyer with a diverse and loyal client base. She leads McDougall Gauley LLP’s tax practice group, and enjoys helping clients with tax-driven corporate reorganizations, trusts, regulatory compliance, and energy and mining matters.
Overview
Amanda began her legal career with a clerkship at the Federal Court of Appeal. Following her clerkship, Amanda carried on a corporate commercial practice with McDougall Gauley LLP, with an emphasis on financing transactions, oil and gas law, debtor-creditor law, and corporate reorganizations.
Amanda then moved to the public sector to work for the provincial water regulator. There, she continued to practice corporate law with a focus on government procurement related to specialized engineering and construction projects. Amanda acted as legal counsel on the transfer of twenty dams and related infrastructure from Canada to Saskatchewan in 2017.
Amanda returned to McDougall Gauley LLP in 2018, and has a broad corporate commercial practice.
